Tuk Tuk Jax

The Tuk Tuk Jax is a Thai street food trailer bringing the heat to the streets of Jacksonville, FL. We can be found on FB, IG, Google Maps, and Truckfindr app

The Tuk Tuk Jax was created in 2020 to bring authentic Thai cooking to the Jacksonville, FL street food scene. There was a hiatus from 2022-2023, where the business exchanged hands. It is currently owned and operated by Chef Tuk. Chef Tuk has always been interested in Asian culture, beginning with his extensive participation in Martial Arts as a child. In 2011, Chef Tuk graduated from The Arts Institute of Jacksonville with an AA in Culinary Management. He spent time working in high volume restaurants such as The Columbia, in St. Augustine, and The Oyster Bar, in New York City’s Grand Central Station. Upon his return to the Jacksonville area, he took a break from the culinary industry, as he wasn’t inspired with the culinary opportunities in the area, given that Asian Fusion is his passion. That all changed when he was presented with the opportunity to own and operate the Tuk Tuk Jax. His culinary passion was reignited, and he is eager to share his love of Asian Fusion cuisine with the Duval street food community!

Frequently asked questions:

1: Do you have vegetarian options? Yes. We have tofu and vegetable options in our noodles, stir fry, fried rice, and curry. Our spring rolls and drinks are also vegetarian.

2: Do you have vegan options? Yes. We have a vegan pad thai, vegan curry, and our other main dishes can be made without egg/meat/fish or oyster sauce to meet your needs. Our boba is also vegan, as we use coconut milk and/or non-dairy creamer.

3: Are your items Kosher? All chicken, vegetable, and egg dishes, as well as our boba could be considered Kosher. Our Beef is a sirloin cut, which is not considered the Kosher portion of the cow. Our boba is made with coconut milk or dairy free creamer and the pearls are tapioca, not gelatin. We do not use any dairy in anything other than the crab rangoons, which aren't considered Kosher. So, there is no mixing of dairy and meat in prep or finished product of any of our entrees. Depending on your practices, tofu may or may not be considered Kosher for you. If you practice an Ashkenazic tradition, our cuisines contain rice and soy, which would not be Kosher for you. **Note: Since most of our ingredients are fresh foods/vegetables, not all items have been certified/stamped as Kosher. This data is being given based off definitions of known Kosher inclusivity and exclusions, as well as what smaller amounts of pre-packaged products we do have.

4: Are your items peanut allergy friendly?  Peanuts are included in a few dishes, but they are added after cooking once the meal is in the to-go container. People can order peanuts in other meals, but they are packaged ahead of time, in take and go cups, and served separately/on the side versus cooked in the pans. So, our cookware and prep areas are all still peanut free! ***If there are any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to ask***

5: Do you have gluten free options? All of our main dishes are gluten free, as well as our Boba. The only items that have gluten are the 2 appetizers.

6: Do you use MSG? No, we do not.

7: What kind of sustainable options do you use? We use recyclable containers (the cardboard ones are also sustainably sourced), our receipt paper is BPA free, and our soy sauce/fish sauce/tamarind/palm sugar/bean thread are all non-GMO. We use local vendors and growers for our vegetables and majority of our packaged products. Our shirmp is sourced using best aquatic practice (BAP) standards. We get compostable silverware, when in stock. We use propane/natural gas vs gasoline, when cooking. We only use our generator when parked somewhere without electric hookup and/or during transport (i.e. as little as possible). Lastly, we have a recycle area on the truck that we fill (and then some).

8: Do you do delivery orders? Yes. We have delivery options through both truckfindr and GrubHub. See the link up top ("ordering") for truckfindr ordering.

9: Do you do pick up orders? Yes. Please see the link up top ("ordering") for truckfindr ordering.

10: Do you do catering or larger orders? Yes. Please email to contact us regarding your special order or event. Our email is: support@thetuktukjax.com
